Artist Reception – Sandi Poor, Watercolors
The MWV Arts Association’s Main Street Art Gallery is highlighting the watercolor paintings of Sandi Poor of Glen on Friday, September 15th from 4-8 pm with an artist reception..
Poor’s watercolors can be best described as fresh, loose and colorful. Her subjects are as varied as her interests in life. As a former healthcare consultant, part time jazz singer, fine artist and pickleball fanatic, one could call her a Renaissance woman.
Her passion for drawing and painting began at an early age. Now retired, she has finally found the time to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an artist. Her love of music is echoed in the titles of each of her paintings.
Though self-taught, Poor has attended many local and nationally acclaimed workshops. She has been a member of the Ellis River Art Gallery and is currently a member of the MWVAA Main Street Art gallery and the Friday Painters Group.
Her work can be seen at many other locations throughout the valley – Snowvillage Inn, Met Cafe, Darby Field Inn, Bernerhof Inn, Conway Library and Oxford House Inn. She continues her artistic growth, increasing her knowledge and mastering techniques with ongoing workshops and fellowship with other artists.
The public is welcome to meet the artist and enjoy the fine arts gallery. Refreshments will be served. Main Street Art Gallery is located next to Sawyer River Trading Company, behind the MET Coffeehouse, 16 Norcross Circle, North Conway Village. For more information, call 603-356-2787.
