My creative practice combines elements of cut paper, dry media, and watercolor and I draw my inspiration from the White Mountains where I live and work immersed in the natural world. When I’m creating my work, I am intuitively assembling forms and textures that I have “collected” into playful, yet curated compositions.
I am fascinated by ideas of migration and homecoming—how animals have an innate sense of direction and muscle memory for their journeys through life. I wonder about the memory of a landscape and whether the rivers and woods recognize the passing of time. I hope my creative work conveys some of the curiosity and wonder I hold for nature.
I graduated from Northeastern University‘s behavioral neuroscience program in 2017 and later studied graphic design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. I work full-time as a designer at Ten Bridge Communications, an agency specializing in science communications. My fine art practice is self-taught and self-driven.
My work can also be found at the Three Sisters Gallery in Gorham, NH. Prints of my work are available for sale at Studio 22 in Fryeburg, ME and International Mountain Equipment in North Conway, NH.
