The Mt. Washington Valley Arts Association invites the public to a vibrant evening of art, conversation, and community at the Meet the Artists reception for its summer exhibit, Kaleidoscope of Color, on Saturday, July 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at their gallery in North Conway.
Visitors will have the opportunity to mingle with participating artists, learn more about their creative process, and enjoy refreshments in the gallery’s welcoming setting. Original artworks will be available for purchase, along with prints, cards, and handcrafted items.
Kaleidoscope of Color celebrates the emotional, expressive, and transformative power of color. Featuring original work by regional artists across a wide range of mediums—including painting, digital illustration, photography, and mixed media—the exhibit is a visual journey with rich storytelling through hue.
The show features collections from resident artists Rosemary Gerbutavich (watercolor), John Girouard (mixed media), Bob Grant (photography), Julie L’Heureux (photography), Karen Lord (photography), Cynthia McInerney (watercolor), Sandi Poor (watercolor), Isaac Rader (digital illustration), and Lori Stearns (oil painting).
“As a realism artist, color draws you in and creates depth. Bright and bold or soft and muted, color allows me to bring my pieces to life” says artist Joanne Gallant about her work. Gallant joined the association in 2025 and volunteers as a gallery sitter and class instructor.
The Kaleidoscope exhibit will remain on view through Monday, September 29, offering a full summer season of inspiration. The MWV Arts Association welcomes new members and encourages anyone interested in showing or selling work in future exhibits to visit mwvarts.org for more information.
The Mt. Washington Valley Arts Association has been promoting the arts in our community since the 1960s through events, classes, and the annual Art in the Park fine art festival. The association’s gallery is open year-round at 16 Norcross Circle (behind the new Sap House Meadery), Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (extended hours for summer!). The 53rd Annual Art in the Park will be October 11 & 12, 2025 in Schouler Park.
