Are you a “wanna-be artist” or an artist who wants to loosen up and paint more expressively?
Sequencing is an approach to painting developed at the River Gallery Art School in Brattleboro Vermont by Ric Campman. Join Laura Guptill and the MWV Arts Association on Saturday, May 20th at 1pm in the North Conway Community Center for a sequencing painting workshop. Many people feel intimidated by the process of making art. This workshop will help to guide you toward self assurance and JOY in the process of making art.
Sometimes not knowing “what to paint” is enough of a deterrent to stop us in our tracks. This process helps to take that fear away, as you move through the very tactile approach to sequencing. The paintings you create will be of various sizes less than 5” by 7”, and you will have the opportunity to make several “sequences”. These can be framed later, mounted on handmade greeting cards, used as gift tags or wherever your imagination takes you!
All supplies will be provided, class usually runs 2-3 hours long. We will be using latex or some thin type of glove. If you have allergies, please bring your own. Class is limited to 10 people so sign up early. The cost is $45 with all materials
