“A flower blossoms for its own joy” Oscar Wilde

While walking to the Main Street Art Gallery from Schouler Park sensations from the warm spring sun brought up some anticipation and excitement to see the new display of art work showing currently till July 1, 2024 at the non-profit artist collaborative gallery. MVW Arts Association’s “Main Street Art Gallery” is located in Norcross Place in North Conway.

The “Joy of Spring” Art Show runs until July 1. An opening reception with refreshments will be held Saturday May 11 from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m.

Throughout the galley in the Joy of Spring show you’ll find oil paintings, pastels, jewelry, photographs and watercolors. All handmade with creative bright authentic hearts forged in the cauldron of everyday life in the Mount Washington Valley area. Images like “Preying Elder” by Lucy Merrow depicting a bear approaching the back deck and others like “Blue Bonnet Quilt” of florets bursting onto the page, splashing a wash of surprising deep blues and purples that roll into the rich sky above created in watercolor by Sarah Eastman.
