Change of Seasons Show at MWV Art Gallery

“Something told the wild geese it was time to fly, Summer sun was on their wings, winter in their cry”. Rachel Field

The MWV Arts Association is pleased to open its gallery doors for an open house on Saturday, October 12th from noon to 4 pm. The current show is titled Change of Seasons and will run through the end of the year. The open house will give visitors a chance to meet the artists, view the variety of fine art and crafts, enjoy some food, drink and lots of cheer.

For nearly a decade, MWV Art Gallery has been showcasing award winning artists from New England who are locally and nationally known, high quality fine artists and fine craftsmen, in a convenient North Conway Village location.  This show is filled with images that define fall in our valley. Colorful trees deep in the woods, a recently mown field of corn, the Eaton church reflecting in Crystal Lake and the Ledges ablaze with color –  beautiful natural places that surround us.

We welcome several new artists to our venue – Lori Stearns’ oils, Amanda Sylvester’s acrylics, James Cryan’s photography, Cynthia McInerny’s watercolors, Helene McInerny’s acrylics and Wendy Wells’ oils.

Among the Resident Artists for this show are Sarah Eastman, Barbara PerryKaren Lord, Sandi Poor, Don Gemmecke, Rosemary Gerbutavich, Jim O’Donnell, Lori Stearns, Isaac Rader and Bob Grant where you will see paintings in all mediums, subjects and style as well as photography, including many that have been creatively computer enhanced. Our fine crafters include Barbara Anderson’s clayworks, Debony Thorne’s glasswork and silver jewelry by Laura Guptill and Cynthia McInerny.

And don’t forget to come to our “Mini Masterpieces” show starting on Saturday, November 23rd and running through the end of the year. Each 8” by 8” masterpiece will be an affordable work of art for your gift giving.

Are you friends with some of these artists? Come show them your support at the open house. MWV Art Gallery is located at 16 Norcross Circle, adjacent to the Sawyer River Trading Company, open Thursday through Sunday from 11am until 4 pm.
