The MWV Arts Association’s Main Street Art Gallery is highlighting the photography of Julie L’Heureux of Eaton NH and Acton, MA on Saturday, July 29th from 12-4 pm with an Open House.
The Ansel Adams quote “You don’t take a photograph, you make it” is how Julie L’Heureux’s artist statement begins. She describes herself as a digital photographer who concentrates in still life, landscapes and portraits. She has been showing her photographs in the gallery for many years to rave reviews. Her food art is professional and polished, creating the perfect setting and lighting to make one drool. Her photos are carefully choreographed through the use of light, shadows, color and clarity to not only create an image of the subject but create a new reality that touches the imagination. The magic is created with her camera, through the use of light and with digital creativity using Lightroom and Photoshop.
L’Heureux currently lives in Acton and has her studio in Maynard, MA. In addition, she lives part of the year in Eaton, NH and has been an active member of the MWV Arts Association. You can see more of her work at her website: jlheureuxphotography.com
The photographer’s images have been accepted to numerous art association exhibits in the Boston area and have been added to collections in the area including the Federal Reserve Bank. Her work has been published on-line and in numerous magazines and newspapers.
